Claire Bidwell Smith is 32 years old and lives in Chicago. She has a Master’s degree in clinical psychology and a Bachelor’s degree in creative writing and works as a bereavement counselor for hospice.

Claire writes the award winning blog Life in Chicago and also blogs regularly for The Huffington Post. Her work has appeared on Chicago Public Radio and in Time Out New York, Citysearch, Yoga Journal, Daily Kos, Student Traveler, Travel Age West, American Eagle’s Latitudes, Jax Fax Travel Marketing, Ideal Bite.com, Road & Travel Magazine, and Bicycling Magazine.

With her husband, writer Greg Boose, Claire edits the Chicago BlackBook Guide to restaurants, bars and hotels.

Claire has lived in Atlanta, New York, Los Angeles and Chicago and she has traveled to over 20 countries.
